Key Responsibilities

Target Groups:

  • 33 schools (primary, middle, secondary, and higher secondary) benefiting from improved access to safe drinking water.
  • 500 Zakat-eligible families facing acute financial vulnerability, including female-headed households, widows/orphans, daily wage earners, persons with disabilities, and families affected by climate-related shocks

A. Cash Assistance (Zakat) Distribution

  • Lead the identification and verification of 500 zakat-eligible families in accordance with approved beneficiary selection criteria.
  • Prepare the list of beneficiaries  in coordination with community members and zakat committee/officials.
  • Coordinate with the MEAL team for verification of living conditions, poverty status, and family composition.
  • Facilitate disbursement of unconditional one-time cash grants (Zakat) to beneficiaries through cheque.
  • Organize well-managed, safe, and controlled cheque distribution events, ensuring proper  and branding, seating arrangements, and drinking water.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, receipts, and beneficiary records.
  • Facilitate MEAL team in post-distribution monitoring to assess cash use, satisfaction, and fairness

B. Installation of Solar-Powered Water Chillers (with RO Filters) in Schools

  • Lead the installation of  solar-powered water chillers with RO filters in schools.
  • Conduct school assessments to confirm site readiness and technical feasibility.
  • Liaise with vendors and school administration to ensure timely and quality installation.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to verify work progress, functionality, and safety compliance.
  • Provide orientation to school staff on the operation and maintenance of installed chillers

C. Installation of Hand Pumps in project villages

  • Oversee the installation of  hand pumps across targeted villages.
  • Facilitate site selection in collaboration with Village Development Organizations (VDOs).
  • Conduct technical field assessments and confirm suitable locations with community input.
  • Ensure installation adheres to technical standards, quality parameters, and environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor vendor performance and verify completion through photos, GPS coordinates, and community validation.
  • Ensure each hand pump includes a permanent plaque.
  • Coordinate with communities for long-term maintenance and ownership of the hand pumps
  • Conduct water quality tests for each installed handpump

 

D. WASH Awareness Sessions:

  • Conduct 33 school-based WASH awareness sessions covering hygiene practices, safe water handling, and sanitation behaviors

 

E. Monitoring, Reporting, Communication and Documentation

  • Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly activity plans and progress reports.
  • Maintain complete documentation related to beneficiaries, site assessments, installations, and field verification.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data for donor reporting requirements.
  • Ensure active community participation and accountability in all project activities
  • Capture and share high-quality photographs, video clips, and human-interest stories (case studies) with the project focal person.

 

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in field project implementation
